Black fungus is a type of black fungus.
"Black Fungus"
Black fungus is a type of black fungus. Many fungal families are considered black fungus together. They are black in color and many fungi grow together in one place.
Such fungal infections are very rare. Such infections are very rare in all cases and do not occur everywhere.
Their growth rate is higher in manure or dung.
Where they cause infections:
This type of fungus can cause infections in many places.
Symptoms of Black Fungus:
The symptoms mainly depend on the affected area.
When infected in the lungs, they cause inflammation in that part of the lungs. As a result, cavities are formed and they can come in contact with the blood vessels.
Black fungus is black in color, so the discharge from the phlegm or nose will be black.
When in the skin, this spot becomes black and begins to rot.
When in the eye, the eyelids droop. Dark water falls from the eyes.
Fever and feeling weak.
Swelling of the face, headache, nasal congestion and even a black nose.
Shortness of breath and chest pain.
Abdominal infections can cause vomiting or bleeding.
Current context:
Currently, the number of patients infected with corona is increasing.
If we look at the statistics of India, it can be understood that the number of people infected with this disease has increased a lot in their country.
Note that black fungus is not a new type of fungus. They were there before. But the main thing that is being talked about so much now is that the number of infected patients has increased a lot more than before.
Let's take a look at how black fungus spreads:
They are spread through spores.
If their spores somehow get into the blood (mouth or nostrils), then there is a possibility of this infection in the body.
They affect the lungs.
They are also capable of infecting the sinuses (air chambers). If this happens, they can easily spread to our brain later.
Because they can enter through the mouth, they are more likely to enter the stomach.
The ones that are more common are:
Those who take more antibiotics and steroids.
Pre-mature baby (less than one month old).
In any wound on the body.
Systemic circulation (through the blood) They can go anywhere in our body such as: brain, heart, spleen, etc. Because the blood circulation in such body parts is very high, so they can go to these places very easily.
People who are more likely to be infected with this fungus:
Those who have low immunity.
Because diabetics have low immunity, they are more likely to be infected.
The main reasons for the spread of black fungus in India:
Since there are many patients with corona in India, they have been given more antibiotics and steroids.
Among them are many patients with diabetes, other diseases and low immunity.
Note that everyone in India already knows-
Many of them are drinking cow dung, bathing in dung, doing so in the belief that if they are rubbed on the skin, the corona will be reduced or they are less likely to be infected with corona.
Since black fungus grows more in dung, the spread of black fungus is one of the main reasons for such activities in India.
Because, if not, in almost all countries of the world, corona patients are being given steroids or antibiotics. Then the rate of its spread in those places should have been much higher.
Thus, one of the reasons for the spread of black fungus in India is cow dung.
What we need to do:
Black fungus has existed before, but now it has suddenly increased.
All we have to do is:
Black fungus does not grow, so the environment around us, basically where we come and go and work, such as: home, office, garden, etc. to keep clean and dry.
Reducing the use of steroids, antibiotics.
For those who work in the garden or many people in the garden at home use tree manure or dung, wearing clothes, masks, gloves that cover the body. Be well cleaned at the end of work.
When working in muddy places, use plastic boots.
Construction sites or areas that are more wet or damp should be kept dry.
By doing these, it is possible to reduce the growth of black fungus.
Medications used to treat black fungus:
First line therapy is usually given by intravenous or systemic antifungal doctors.
Fungicidal drugs or antifungal drugs are also used. Cosaconazole, Isavukonazal group drugs are given orally.
Fluconazole is also used.
Note: If the affected area is rotten, the rotten part may have to be removed by surgery.
Finally:
People who are immune and who are always aware of cleanliness are less likely to be infected with black fungus.
If it still happens to someone, it is important to consult a doctor without delay.
